I was flying through Target trying to grab what I needed and thinking about all I had to do. There was a man sitting on the ground. I walked by and it took a second to realize what I saw. I turned around, went back and asked if he was ok. He said he was and just needed a minute to rest while he waited for a tech to help him. I noticed his Vietnam hat and thanked him for his service. We chatted for a bit and he gave me some words I needed to hear to get through my year. So turns out I was the recipient of kindness from a stranger. A great lesson to slow down and connect with others.
